Our philosophy is to provide the highest quality billing service to NC medical providers. We invest heavily in our staff and in technology. The management team spends enormous amounts of time in training our staff on the ever-changing rules and regulations that surround this industry. Our focus is on quality, not quantity.

Consistent Growth

MBA believes that consistent, controlled growth results in happier and more satisfied clients than the rapid growth model. The historical plunge of the "dot-coms" has once again reiterated to the business community that fast growth based on marketing hype doesn't result in solid, well-built companies. Our goal is not to become the largest medical billing company in the U.S.... just the best. Large companies simply cannot provide the personal relationship that we believe is necessary in this business. Think about it... when was the last time you had a conversation with the president of your power company?

Teamwork

We view the relationship with our clients more like members of a team rather than just “customers.” We want you to get paid in full for the services you render. That means you, your staff and MBA are all working together to achieve a common goal. We frequently discuss ways to improve workflow with our clients and their staff. We want to work together with you and adjust our services to fit the particular needs of your practice.

Our staff

In this industry, the rules are changing constantly. Insurance companies implement new policies that delay the payment of a claim seemingly every day. The reality of this is that you must have a staff capable of reacting to these changes. MBA believes in hiring only the best. Every new employee must go through several interviews and pass a battery of standardized clerical, coding and medical terminology tests. In addition, candidates must complete industry-standard personality tests in order to ensure they will "fit" into our environment.

MBA subscribes to the philosophy that comfortable, happy employees are productive employees. From the chair they sit in to the computer in front of them, we believe they should have the best tools at their disposal. It’s no secret that employee turnover is one of the highest costs to a company, which is why MBA believes in making each employee feel appreciated and respected. We don't believe you can be successful in this business by hiring average employees and paying them average salaries! Over the years, we have built a solid staff capable of handling the wide variety of challenges that insurance companies throw our way.

Technology

Take a look at the background of our management team and you can see why technology is emphasized at MBA. Anyone who has been in this business for very long knows that what worked yesterday won't necessarily work today. To accommodate these daily changes, you must have the technological “know-how” and the background to make these changes. Since our first computer with a 4.77 Mhz processor in 1986 to our latest 2.x Ghz, RAID-5 servers, MBA has always invested in the latest technology.

We believe in buying the highest quality hardware and software that will meet your needs. Our server farm is made up of Dell and Gateway servers. Our workstations are predominately Dell 2.x Ghz machines that interface using our high-speed network controlled by Cisco routers and switches.

All of our databases and client data are maintained on several redundant servers. Each day, complete alternating backups are done and taken offsite. You can rest assured that your data will be protected, even in lieu of a catastrophic event.
